Patients with diabetes often develop corns and sores on their feet. Due to neuropathy, they cannot feel these sores and they develop into larger wounds that need treatment. In order to prevent these pressure sores, and to protect the feet of those who have already had a foot surgery, custom made footwear are prescribed. The footwear is designed after doing a detailed foot pressure study, so as to relieve undue pressure to the affected parts of the feet. Sponsoring foot wear for a patient can help prevent foot ulceration and limb loss.
