Mr. Akbar, who has been managing his type 1 diabetes well with an HbA1c between 5.6 – 7.5% over the past 4-5 years motivated the children through describing his life experiences.
The session turned interactive when children were invited to share the challenges they face in their daily lives while managing diabetes and physical activity. Practical solutions and tips were discussed to help them overcome these hurdles.
Following the educational segment, a Fitness Challenge was conducted where children enthusiastically participated in plank and skipping exercises, each timed to help them understand their endurance while adding an element of fun. This challenge was conducted by Ms.Steffi (Fitness Instructor).
Following the fitness challenge, Steffi introduced the children to a TABATA workout session, leading them through a 20-minute high-intensity interval training routine, which the children enjoyed thoroughly. The event concluded with a cheerful group photograph, capturing the spirit and energy of the day.
